REGISTRATION INFORMATION

2010/2011 SCHOOL YEAR

SCHEDULE OF CLASSES: (Calendar for the 2010/2011 School Year will be released in May)

Pre-K and Children’s Liturgy of the Word Sunday 9:30am

Kindergarten                                                 Tuesday 4:15 – 5:30

Religious Education Levels 1 – 5 *              Tuesday 4:15 – 5:30 or Wednesday 6:30 – 7:45

Confirmation Levels 1-3 *                            Tuesday 6:30 – 8:00

* Although we learn facts about our faith through text books, our Religious Education program is more than an academic pursuit.  The purpose of our program is to assist parents in the faith formation of their children, stressing the areas of Knowledge, Worship and Service.  When determining what level to register your child for, please consider where your child is in his/her faith development.  If your child has not had any formal Religious Education, he or she will need to start at Religious Education Level 1 or its equivalent (parents of children in the 3^rd grade and older who have not had any formal Religious Education should contact Maureen Curtis).  Children typically start this level in the first grade.  Children should complete Levels 1 through 5 before going on to the Confirmation Levels.  Students typically start Confirmation Level 1 in the 6^th grade.

Please keep the following requirements in mind:

1.      Pre-K is open to children who are 3 though Kindergarten age.  Children must be potty trained.

2.      To register for Kindergarten, your child must be 5 by September 1, 2010

3.      Children cannot register for Level 2 (this is the year when they receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist) until they have completed Level 1.

4.      Students cannot be registered for Confirmation Level 2 until they have completed Confirmation Level 1; students cannot be registered for Confirmation Level 3 (this is the year when they receive the Sacrament of Confirmation) until they have completed both Confirmation Level 1 and Confirmation Level 2

FEES:

If you register before or on May 23: $30.00 per child with a $60.00 family maximum

If you register after May 23: $45.00 per child with a $75.00 family maximum (the late fee will be waived for families that are new to the parish or program in 2010/2011 school year)

REGISTRATION:

To register, please fill out a registration form (extra forms in the CCD Hall) and return it and the fee to:

1. The church office at 16304 Pond Meadow Lane, Bowie, MD 20716 (marked to the attention of Maureen Curtis), or

2. Place it in the box for completed registration forms in the CCD Hall, or

3. CCD class with your child
