A response to the video "Why I Hate Religion, But Love Jesus". The purpose of this video is to do a response from a Catholic perspective, in a spirit of love, but also with a spirit of passion to defend our Mother the Church. The things that are said are not meant to offend, but we do have to be direct about what we believe and what we stand for.
Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition, Magisterial Teachings, Baptism, Confirmation, Confession, Holy Eucharist, Holy Matrimony, Holy Orders, Anointing of the Sick. We are One Church under one Shepherd, united together from all nations. We believe in on God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We honor Mary, the mother of God and the saints who have gone before us. We pray. We fast. We give alms. We promote life from conception to natural death. We care for the poor and the sick and shelter the homeless. We are the Catholic Church.
The Apostles Creed in English: I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
"Dear young people, the happiness you are seeking, the happiness you have a right to enjoy has a name and a face: it is Jesus of Nazareth, hidden in the Eucharist. Only he gives the fullness of life to humanity!"
- Pope Benedict XVI
